So 2014, year of firsts for me. This was my second year of writing and publishing online, my first for publishing stories for sale. I published 25 stories to Literotica and 2 were put up for sale. Phew, didn’t realize just how many I’d written this year before counting them out. Towards the end of this year I’ve noticed that my pace is slowing, but it doesn’t feel like I have to force some of the stories anymore. There are some stories I wish I had finished writing, another chapter for the Shelley series for example.
Personally I’ve had the chance to grow and learn, getting back more into some of the physical activities I used to enjoy. Primarily those were hiking and running. Both activities I’d fallen out of due to a bum knee. Late last Spring I took up hiking again, after having not participated in a number of years. That I wasn’t able to hike at the same level I used to fueled my desire to get better and led me to look more at running again. Can’t say that was the easiest thing to get into, at first I was using a pair of trail running shoes and my knee ached after every workout. Then I stumbled across zero drop shoes and eventually bought a pair of Altra Olympus’ which have made all the difference. I run without pain in my knee now, what a wonderful feeling it is!
Goals for this year include: 1) Enter all of the Lit contests, 2) Publish 3 more stories/books on Amazon and Smashwords. Goals for myself outside of writing include: 1) Run my first 5k 2) Hike to the top of the tallest mountain in my state
